I was a bit surprised by that one too. Especially seeing as they're going to Dunbar. Oh well, not even turned up at a contest and that's the Branch Champion of Champions prize coming our way haha.

It's a great shame that the branch contest aren't better attended. I remember Bathgate being almost as big as a major with 10 or so grade 1 bands taking part.

we had the european championships in my home town in the 70s wish they would bring it back LOL

My first major in Gd 1 was at Bathgate. It was the British championship around 86/87 and the weather was miserable.

Here's hoping that's not the case weather wise this year. Last year was a scorching day at Bathgate, I just hope the weather in Dunbar is better than last year. Worst weather I've ever played in.
