i have a very cheap and easy solution to this...

Take a piece of hemp (approx 6 inches in length, waxed).

tie a half knot around the drone reed seat, NOT THE BODY.

take both "tails" and redistribute it into the already existing Hemp of the stocks and re assemble pipes.

this will anchor in your pipe reeds. (works for chanter reeds too)

just saying... work smart laddie, not hard...

I would start with the chanter reed first.
Get the strength you can play realistically and work from there.

Match the drone strength to the chanter reed. How I do it is to adjust ONE tenor to strength and pitch, then match the other reeds to this one,,one at a time.

Finally, I will cork the chanter stock, blow up the drones and try to overblown and cut out the drones. If one continues to play, adjust it. It's a lot of trial and error but in the end you will have a well-balanced set of pipes.
