Ive been to the Tilted Kilt in Mesa.

For the second time since 1983, I am not playing anywhere. Sitting quietly at home with the lady-wife, avoiding the bars. (A bunch of them within a couple of blocks downtown closed off the street for the day. They have bands scheduled outside and inside all day - $15 cover - Green Beer (shudder) is $1.50 a pint - Guinness is $6.00 - in a plastic cup. The local session meets at one of them - the barman last weekend said they were expecting 5,000 to 8,000 people for the day. Last year they set a record - threw the first drunk out (and called police) at 7:30.... in the morning).
No thanks. Too old for that - leave it to the youngsters. Have a good one all the same!
