Omit the olives (unless absolutely top quality olives). Roast the garlic until soft and then spread like butter over some good bread. Yum!!!

Yep very popular over here. What always surprises me is how mild the garlic is.
I always expect them to blow your head off (a la raw garlic) but they don't. We can buy them loose at the deli counter or in jars. You have to make sure that your partner also partakes to avoid accusations of garlic breath! Garlic olives, they are the future I've tasted them!!!! (Parody on old garlic bread joke!)

I think we had them at Good Danny's one day. At least I think that's where we had them... I'm not fond of olives so didn't try.

I've had them and they are excellent! That and garlic is supposed to be good for your heart. Does anyone know about a plant that's good for your liver? I REALLY need that.....

Had them at a tappas bar in Mallorca. About 40 odd years ago. Really tasty. Hadn't thought about them since.

I'm not big on olives myself, but when I have guest I sometimes serve them marinated olives stuffed with sweet soft Italian cheese. I don't bother to make them myself as they so cheap and readily available from the local deli.
