Thumbs up the good ol chanter scale / ! reed wize/ the screw system

my wish is for a bagpipe that all the drone parts and chanter and blow stick

have a screw system in them so they do not fall out when the hemp is

wiped out that leads to parts flying out of the bagpipe when you least

expect it that lead to several chanters being broken and parts flying

out of the bagpipe and broken or busted up manny years earler cause

i sometimes forget to check every

day that the pipes are working correctly my fault that was way in the

beginning i

know better now i think that if the inner walls of mountings

and furreles have threads on them then it should be that way for the rest

of the bagpipe if i was a maker id do that with hemp drying so much and

going loose on you i think the screw system would work wonders for pipers

everyware ! now make a chanter that doesent ever break on you ever !

big question with the chanter reed thing part 2

why havent they ever made a bagpipe chanter that you dont have to fiddle

with reeds or chanter tape in generaly speaking or better yet a tuner for

the low g , b ,c, d, e, f, g to solve all our problems why arent they tuned

also with the hi a and low a ? dimentions of the cone thats why

or drones that you dont have to tune anymore cause they are in tune

forever when you strike them in

a great pipe bag that you neever mess with its with you forever

or how about this guys and gals !

make a chanter that doesent have to be tuned when you put the reed in

it in other words its already in tune and you dont have to mess

with the reed with all the notes true instead of putting tape on the

chanter or realizing you dont know flat or sharp till somebodys says it this

or its that

or ruining your chanter with tools that would mess the chanter up cause you

dident think

thats what i find very insane about playing bagpipes for over 28 years

if they ever did make one of those count me in i will jump for joy

then i wont have to spend so much money on reeds a perfict chanter

no tape a true sounding scale when a great reed is in it haliluya ! yeah

right!!!!!!!!! all the pipers would want one and then the guy will be a

billionare several times over nuthing wrong with that ! me boxes apon

boxes of reeds ive gone to so manny makers trust me i love them all

lots of duds some decent a couple that sounded like thats the

one !!!!!!!!!!!!! you know the story a very very good ear for the scale is so

helpfull ive even had splits and throwing manny out never used tools on

the chanter thank god for that ! me in the past 28 years that added to

thousands !

when i could have just bought one to last me forever

sharp notes flat notes chanter tape tools its awfull but then thats what

we all must go through in the piping world nuthing agenst chanter or reed

makers ok ! sincerly andy i just wish it was made thats all

awsome if you dident have to tune instruments just play

them please reply !

If it were not difficult, miserable and troublesome, it wouldn't be Scottish!

Soutar reeds seem to work pretty well in my Soutar chanter. No surprise there I suppose...

As far as your pipes coming apart, doesn't that just mean you're not playing enough?

Hey John! Us Scots thrive on being miserable! Oh, that was your point.
